Charles Paine III

My work explores romantic love through tradition, religion, or landscapes. I particularly enjoy capturing celebratory moments from different cultures. As a Unitarian, I love to meet different people from across the world. I have lots of foreign friends, some of whom posed for the oil paintings in this gallery. I find people from different cultures more open-minded than the average American including myself. They bring my art to life. If it wasn’t for great friends, Americans, and from different nations, my paintings and drawings wouldn’t exist. My ultimate goal is to be the Cecil B. DeMille of oil painting and drawing and the Howard Hawks, the golden age of Hollywood director, with a paintbrush, pen, and pencil. The Golden Age of Hollywood will never return, so why not bring it back again through the world of fine art.”
