Connie works in a variety of mediums, most recently in watercolor/pen and ink, and colored pencil. Also working occasionally in gouache, acrylic, *egg tempera and infrequently in oils and other “new” mediums.
She has studied under several instructors and taken many workshops in the Miami, Ft. Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach, FL area and attended classes and workshops in the western NC & SC area. She is most interested in making representational works and Tromp le Oeil.
* Egg Tempera is said to date back to prehistoric times. This medium was prevalent in the 13th and 14th centuries. In order to prepare the binding medium, distilled water is added to an egg yolk and mixed with dry pigment. It forms its own protective surface film and does not darken with age.
