In a letter to his brother, Theo, Vincent van Gogh wrote, “…Ah! portraiture, portraiture with the thoughts, the soul of the model in it…”

Making and appreciating art is my lifelong passion. My body of work focuses on portraiture and life studies, as well as nature and black and white photography. I am enamored not only by the human form, but also animals as pets and in their wild state. I study my subjects for their essence and portray the connection I absorb. I primarily work in watercolor for its softness and fluidity, and acrylic paint with medium for depth.
