The Haywood Ramblers

Join in the fun at the Mill Town Farmers Market! HCAC artist members will set up with a selection of their work with some artists demonstrating their craft. The Haywood Ramblers will lead a community jam from 4 – 5:30pm, so bring your instrument and get ready to play with the professionals! At 5:30pm, bring your chair, sit back, relax and rock out with North Carolina based Bluegrass Band Nu-Blue. The event is free, thanks to the Town of Canton, Cruso Endowment and the Haywood County TDA.

Friday, September 22, 5:30 - 7pm: Meet the Makers, Location TBD, Maggie Valley

Meet the Makers is a small-scale mini-fundraiser where attendees meet the artist, participate in a craft, be entertained by an intimate musical performance, and participate in a facilitated interview with the artists. The featured artists are potter Jan Kolenda, jeweler Ilene Kay, and glass artist Carol Roden.  More information to come soon! This will be a ticketed event at $10 per ticket. Tickets can be bought in advance or at the door, and food and drink will be available for purchase.

The Haywood County Studio Tour is a two-day self-guided tour where hundreds of visitors are invited into artists’ studios to meet the artist, view demonstrations, and buy art. Studios are sprinkled throughout all of Haywood County bringing visitors to diverse locales both urban and rural.
