Golden Infinity, Necklace
While I expected to be an artist growing up, life took me in a different direction. After a few decades in the business world, I found myself missing the creative part of who I was. A simple beading class pulled me back in, and I was hooked.
Before long, I realized it was stone and metal that truly called to me, and I shifted my focus to the art of chainmaille design. Chainmaille is special to me — creating order and strength out of chaos (my metaphor for taking little metal rings and weaving them together in a design).
After moving from Florida to Waynesville in 2025, I became enamored with the colors of the Blue Ridge Mountains and have enjoyed incorporating them into my work. I generally use polished aluminum, though I’ve also worked extensively in precious metals. I love the essence of semi‑precious stone and often incorporate stone and glass into my designs.
