Moving to Western North Carolina from Minnesota, I found such natural mountain beauty all around me, that I gravitated to recreating it.
I love looking at stream beds, rocks, different mosses, lichen and all the life that surrounds water. The small details. The minutiae at our feet.
It inspires me.
I use glass to recreate the water and the CHARACTER of the glass is what shines.
I also love flowers, flowers, flowers, so if I do a traditional mosaic style with grout, glass and tiles, it's going to be flowers.
I do happy art. I do art that people can relate to. I do art because I have too, I can't stop.
My husband Steve deserves a shout out because 99.9% of the frames on my art are hand made by him. It finishes the piece and gives it the polished, final touch. We are a team.
